Asset Management and Leasing
This class introduces commercial property management duties and responsibilities. It identifies the components of a property management agreement. You will calculate absorption rate, several types of managements fees and commissions for leases. Skills required for landlord representation with respect to leasing property will be identified and discussed in detail.
Through individual groups, you will prepare marketing plans for office, retail, industrial and apartment properties. You will be introduced to tenant representation and lease issues. The leasing process and a letter of intent will be explained. Types of leases will be compared, and you will calculate pass-throughs and percentage rent. Commercial lease provisions and clauses will be reviewed.
